The series created by Fabrice Gobert uses a formula familiar to fantasy and science fiction productions: a mysterious event takes the inhabitants of a small town unprepared, trying, as everyone can, to face the challenge. In The Returned the premise can make you shiver, because the event looks at the mysterious return to life of several deceased people. They miraculously reappear in the city and try to resume their existence, but of course this is not possible.
